General Information

CJSC operate from Porth Eirias which is owned by Conwy County Borough Council. Therefore, members are required to register their craft(s) and obtain appropriate launch permits. Generally this can be done at the slipway from the ever helpful warden Martin, but he will require proof of insurance. Please note that proof of membership will not be sufficient. For more details see below.

CJSC Joining Details

The Membership Application Form may be obtained from the Club Secretary by emailing secretary@cjsc.co.uk or at the site on club days from the CJSC duty tractor driver or any committee member present. Whilst the RYA Personal Watercraft Proficiency Course Certificate is not mandatory at Porth Eirias, CJSC are a recognized RYA training centre for this course. Please email secretary@cjsc.co.uk for further details.

A new membership is issued with the proviso that it does not become a “Full” membership until 6 weeks after the application is received. Until such time it will be known as a “Provisional” Membership and may be revoked following an Extra-Ordinary Committee meeting at any time within the 6 weeks.
A Provisional member may still apply to Conwy Council for an Annual Permit.

All committee members are experienced Jetskiers and we believe that a Jetski club should be run by the people who participate in the sport.

Registration Permits

All powered craft owners are required to register their vessel(s) prior to use of Conwy County Borough Council slipways. The annual charge for each registration for 2024 is £37.95

Owners who have not already registered with Conwy CBC will be required to register their PWC(s) at the Colwyn Jetski Club slipway prior to launching, again at a cost of £37.95 for the 2024 season.

The scheme offers a considerable advantage to any Conwy Registered Launchers because Denbighshire, Gwynedd and Anglesey Councils will all accept the Conwy Registration. This means if you decide to go to Anglesey for the day instead of Conwy then you will not be required to register again as in previous years; all you will have to pay is their Day Launch fee.

Please note:

Conwy registrations are accepted once again across North Wales including Menai Strait, Anglesey and Gwynedd
